ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Rodeo Drive, a spark that fueled my creative flame. Leaving the frosty embrace of Cleveland, OH, behind, my fiancé and I touched down in California, greeted by a refreshing breeze and the caress of warm sunlight. I saw the shiny clean luxury cars and the beauty of the clean street. People were walking and enjoying the weather, not rushing to be somewhere. It’s almost as if they treat that neighborhood like their personal runway. The archeiture of the stores. They were modern with the sharp edges and neutral colors to show how clean, sleek, and fashion forward they are. The fabrics I chose are satin, mesh cotton, cotton canvas, and linen cotton. I see value in these materials being most eco-friendly due to their origins and how much comfort and beauty it will bring to your life making it more elegant, graceful, and sophisticated. When someone walks down Rodeo Drive the sun is shining off of their satin dress. The vibrant colors on the cotton apparel will be enhanced by the environment. The mesh cotton and cotton linen will flow in the breeze. It was the energy, the vibe, that set my creative spirit ablaze—just the spark I needed to kickstart my imagination.
